Surrender is not about giving up, it’s about fully and completely giving yourself to each moment. Falling into the mystery of the Great Work. It’s about not struggling or fighting against the reality of the true nature of what is. Reality can not be other than what it is.
Reality beyond all mental, emotional and physical manifestations we create. What comes to mind is the old phrase, that we have all heard “call a spade, a spade”. Life is not meant to be reframed, it is meant to be seen in all its ugliness or beauty, pain or joy. The polarities are meant to be experienced fully in each moment. In human form, as a human, from the body. Life is meant to be experienced through the body. We are here for a reason, and that reason is to experience as a member of humanity. We are meant to be in the body and not constantly looking for an escape.
The reality is we may be sad, or lonely. Rich or broke. In pain, suffering or joyful and happy. There is no right or wrong way to feel. As long as it’s real and authentic.
As I sit here writing this, I don’t even want to publish it. Clearly since this is coming through me, it needs to be heard, by me. Someone else may need to ponder these words and see what comes up for them. I have found that brutal honesty with myself is often what is needed to uncover the reality of my own current truth.
